About Good News From Galilee…

Warm greetings from the shores of Galilee, where the ancient paths call us back to the raw, unfiltered good news.

I’m William, your unseen narrator: no (real) photo, no last name, no spotlight. As 2 Corinthians 4:5 says, “We do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord.” The focus is entirely on Him.

My name is not a national secret, far from it. I am simply a regular person with a family and a deep passion for the Gospel. The choice to begin as an unseen narrator is intentional, much like the weather on the Sea of Galilee: it simply is what it is.

In the days of the apostles, people were known and convinced of Christ by simple names, Luke, Matthew, John, or Paul; without elaborate personal brands or platforms. Consider Paul of Tarsus, the tentmaker. What do we really know about him? He had poor eyesight, worked as a tentmaker by trade, was a Pharisee by background, and a free Roman citizen. That’s about it. Yet this is the man whose writings convinced so many of us of Christ. He spoke of himself only as much as necessary and kept the spotlight squarely on Jesus. Modern believers have largely forgotten this pattern: how little we actually need to know about the messenger for the message to do its work. No one needs to become a celebrity for the gospel to advance. The apostles modeled something profoundly simple and freeing. The message matters far more than the messenger.

In a world of influencer faith, celebrity leaders, and endless church splits, this space is a quiet but clear call back to common ground: unity around Christ and Scripture alone. We are not here to add another creed, confession, or branded system to the pile.

Too many voices today want to stand between you and Jesus, telling you they can lead you to Him. Scripture says otherwise…

A Return to the Bible Alone

This is not another voice telling you what to believe. It is an invitation to open the Scriptures for yourself and let them speak. Jesus never asked us to follow a human gatekeeper, a denominational flowchart, or a loud platform before we could know Him. He said, “Follow Me” (Matthew 4:19) and “My sheep hear My voice” (John 10:27).

Where historic creeds and traditions echo Scripture faithfully, they can be helpful signposts. But when they (or any teacher, system, or tradition) become the lens through which we read the Bible, when human additions are elevated to the level of God’s Word, then we know we have left the ancient paths. Paul warned: “See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition…and not according to Christ” (Colossians 2:8). Jesus was direct with the experts of His day: “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to establish your tradition!” (Mark 7:9).

If a teaching, leader, or system must stand between you and direct access to Jesus through His Word, it is leading somewhere other than the narrow way. The Bible is enough (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Holy Spirit is the Teacher (John 14:26). You do not need a middleman. I cannot soften that truth: following voices instead of the living Word leads to destruction (Matthew 7:13-14). But the door is open. Come to the Messiah with the Book in your hands.

The 5 Core Goals You’ll Find Here to Restore Simple, Unified Faith

People once learned to read and love the Bible at home or from the pulpit. Today that’s rare, so this space gently fills the gap without overwhelming your daily life:

  • Encourage Daily Bible Reading - Start small, at home, no coaching required. Short nudges, tools, and gentle prompts for beginners or the busy.

  • Return to Sola Scriptura and Biblical Imagery - Let Scripture interpret itself through its own recurring patterns (gardens, scarlet threads, chaos waters, Tabernacle echoes) to reveal one unified story from Genesis to Revelation. No added systems needed.

  • Recognize Christ Alone as Authority - No man on earth (not traditions, systems, or leaders) should dictate our faith. Only Jesus holds that place. Let’s return to daily Bible reading, where Scripture interprets itself, freeing us from the divisions Paul opposed and uniting us around the gospel’s power. God designed the Bible so each of us can work out our own faith with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).

  • Normalize Humble Preaching - No stages or self-promotion, just conversational truth shared like friends around a fire, accessible and real.

  • Immerse in 1st-Century Culture - Experience the New Testament through the eyes of its writers: empire’s weight, everyday miracles, pagan altars; not our 21st-century assumptions.
